SCARCE SMITH & WESSON PRE-MODEL 29 DA REVOLVER WITH AN ORIGINAL CASE. SMITH & WESSON PRE-29 S166392 .44 MAGNUM MODERN; C&R Cal. 44 Magnum. High polish blue finish with 6-1/2" ribbed bbl, red ramp & white outline sights, target trigger & hammer. Mounted with diamond checkered, silver medallion Magnum grips. Accompanied by its orig blue satin lined, black leatherette, hinged lid case containing the revolver and an orig screwdriver, cleaning rod & mop. Few of these early 5-screw, pre-29s remain in as new condition. PROVENANCE: Larry Baer Estate Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Appears to be pristine, new & unfired retaining 99.9% crisp orig high polish blue, with brilliant case colors on trigger & hammer. Grips are crisp with two small nicks on the right side, showing extremely light diamond point wear. Mechanics are crisp. Brilliant shiny bore.
