REMINGTON MODEL 1883 GRADE 3 HAMMER GUN. REMINGTON 1883 GR. 3 64129 12 Ga 12 Ga. 30" bbls. 2-3/4" chambers. Choked: CYL/MOD. Full length matted rib with steel front bead marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO ILION NY USA" with dolls head extension. Grade marked on water table along with SN. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Full pistol grip stock with 14-1/8" LOP over Remington Arms Co monogrammed and checkered butt. Splinter forend and buttstock. Checkered in 2-point pattern. Forend with horn teardrop tip. Sideplates marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO" in front of lockplate. Straight top lever. Weight: 8 lb 6 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. "Andy" Anderson. CONDITION: Very good. Damascus bbls retain 85% nicely contracted pattern. Receiver retains 35-40% orig case colors, stronger on right side and top. Trigger guard and forend iron have turned gray. Stocks are sound and retain 90% plus of what could be their orig varnish or an old refinish. Mechanics are good. Hammers and triggers slightly gummed and would benefit from a gentle cleaning. Bores are excellent, mostly bright and shiny with a few scattered light pits. 49531-53 JSL104 (800-1,200)
