INCREDIBLE FACTORY ENGRAVED PRE-PRODUCTION KIMBER OF OREGON M-89 BGR. KIMBER 89BGR BGRX 300-1 300 WIN MODERN Cal. .300 Win. 25-3/4" bbl. No sights installed, set up w/ Kimber scope rings. Breech end of bbl marked ".300 WIN" and center of bbl marked "KIMBER OF OREGON, INC. CLACKAMUS, OREGON U.S.A.". Capped pistol grip buttstock, checkered in 6-pt pattern with cheekpiece and 13-1/2" LOP over Pachmayr Old English pad. Gun is set up for sling swivels with Howell mounts present. Forearm with ebony tip checkered in 8-pt pattern. Receiver is beautifully and finely engraved and marked "E.L. PETERS ENGR. / FEGA" under bolt. Breech end of bbl nicely scroll engraved with a well executed bust of scroll. Floor plate is beautifully engraved in scroll with gold inlaid bear in great detail catching a salmon in mountain and stream scene. Trigger guard is nicely scroll engraved as is pistol grip cap. Bolt is beautifully scroll engraved and checkered in a fine pattern with floral bust at end. Comes in a hard plastic case with foam liner which is very good. Safety with gold "F" inlaid in front. This gun is a pre-production executive''s model likely made to show Kimber investors what the product team was working on. WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 15 oz. Accompanied by an extra stock of AAA claro walnut. PROVENANCE: William Henkel Collection. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, near new. May have been test fired but remains in extraordinarily fine condition overall with just a couple of minute handling marks. Extra stock is excellent and near new.
