INCREDIBLE FACTORY ENGRAVED PRE-PRODUCTION KIMBER OF OREGON M-89 BGR. KIMBER 89BGR BGRX 270-1 .270 WIN MODERN Cal. .270 Win. 22-3/4" bbl. No sights installed though set up for scope W/ Kimber rings. Breech end of bbl marked ".270 WIN" and center of bbl marked "KIMBER OF OREGON, INC. CLACKAMUS, OREGON. U.S.A.". Capped pistol grip buttstock, checkered in 6-pt pattern with cheekpiece and 13-3/4" LOP over London guns red pad. Gun is set up for sling swivels with Howell mounts present. Forearm with ebony tip checkered in 8-pt pattern. Receiver is beautifully and finely scroll engraved and marked "E.L. PETERS ENGR. / FEGA" under bolt. Floor plate is beautifully engraved in scroll with gold inlaid white tail buck in wood scene. Trigger guard is nicely scroll engraved as is pistol grip cap. Bolt is beautifully scroll engraved and checkered in a fine pattern with floral bust at end. Safety with gold "F" inlaid in front. This gun is a pre-production executive''s model likely made to show Kimber investors what the product team was working on. WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 7 oz. Accompanied by an extra stock of AAA claro walnut. PROVENANCE: William Henkel Collection. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, near new. May have been test fired but remains in extraordinarily fine condition overall with just a couple of minute handling marks. Extra stock is excellent and near new.
