WINCHESTER MODEL 70 STANDARD GRADE BOLT ACTION RIFLE WITH MATTED RECEIVER PRE-64.WINCHESTER701630722 HORNETMODERN; C&RCal. 22 Hornet. 24" bbl, checkered pistol grip straight grain walnut stock with sling swivels. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent. Bbl shows 98% blue finish turning plum toward muzzle, only slight muzzle wear and a few miniscule scratches. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver shows 98% matte blue finish with minor high point wear and a couple of scratches. Bolt is polished bright and numbered to gun. Bolt handle shows blue turning slightly plum brown. Bottom metal shows 98% blue with only slight high point wear and slight pluming on trigger guard. Stock is fine with very few mars and scratches. Pistol grip is sharply checkered. Forend is sharply checkered. Steel buttplate shows 95% blue turning somewhat plum. A very fine pre-64 M 70 in a very desirable caliber. Hard to improve upon. 49583-2 TEP (2,000-3,000)
