WINCHESTER MODEL 70 STANDARD GRADE BOLT ACTION RIFLE. PRE-64.Winchester70 STD28207922 HORNETMODERN; C&RCal. 22 Hornet, 24" bbl, blue finish, checkered walnut stock with sling swivels and steel buttplate. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl shows a considerable amount of orig blue finish turning plum toward muzzle, slight muzzle wear and a few scratches. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains a considerable amount of matte blue finish with only high point wear and a few small abrasions. SN'd bolt has generous blue on handle. Bottom metal shows generous bright blue with some plumming on floorplate and some high point wear. Stock is very good with sharp checkering. Stock shows some handling marks at butt end and a couple of fairly deep scratches. Sling swivels are good. Buttplate shows strong blue with only high point wear. A very nice Stand Grade M 70 in a very desirable caliber. 49473-3 TEP (1,500-3,000)
