BEAUTIFUL GOLD INLAID WINCHESTER MODEL 42 CUSTOM. WINCHESTER 42 76565 410 MODERN; C&R Cal. 410. 27-1/2" bbl. 3" chamber. Full choke. Full length low profile ventilated rib with part synthetic ivory part brass front bead. Capped full pistol grip buttstock with 14-9/16" LOP over basket weave black Pachmayr pad. Beautiful flame grained American walnut buttstock checkered in 3-point pattern. Steel grip cap is engraved with gold inlaid Roadrunner. Forearm checkered on sides in 2-point pattern. Receiver is beautifully and fully scroll and floral engraved with gold borders and Western mining scene with a man, his dog and two mules on left and cowboy in chase scene on right, all in gold. Bottom of frame is fully engraved, as is breech end of bbl. Weight: 6 lb 14 oz. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Robert Burg. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, as custom finished. Bbl, receiver and mag tube retain nearly all of their custom blued finish. Buttstock and forearm retain virtually all of their custom hand rubbed oil finish. Mechanics are very good.
