PRE-WAR WINCHESTER MODEL 21 SKEET GUN.WINCHESTER211310012 GaMODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga, 2-3/4" chambers, 26" bbls with matted rib, red bead front sight and steel middle bead. Beavertail forend with standard skeet checkering pattern and roll-type forend release. Typical skeet grade gun with selective single trigger and auto ejectors. Non-automatic safety with orig safety slide. Bottom of floorplate marked "SKEET". Replaced buttstock (likely by Fajen) with LOP 14-1/8" from single trigger, full pistol grip; 2-point checkering. Fajen marked lined buttplate with small white spacer, newer buttplate screws. Bore diameter: left bbl .729 right bbl .730. Chokes: left - .007, right - .005. CONDITION: Overall very good. Bbls retain approximately 80-85% blue with loss toward breech end near chamber area. Exterior of bbls in very good condition. Bores are very good to excellent with one or two of the exterior dings showing through on the inside. Ribs are sound. Orig beavertail forend in very nice condition showing 90-95% hand rubbed finish with slight hairline crack on left side at muzzle end and a scratch at breach end showing some added finish. Frame shows approximately 90% blued finish with edge and corner wear. Top tang retains most of the blue, with lever approximately 95%. Trigger guard bow retains 90-95% blued finish with tang starting. Buttstock shows beautiful grain, likely American walnut, with crisp modern checkering. Overall a very nice Model 21 skeet gun. 49253-14 JSL2 (3,500-5,500)
