WINCHESTER MODEL 21 FIELD GUN.WINCHESTER21241312 GAMODERNCal. 12 ga. 30" bbl. Double triggers, extractors, full pistol grip. Right and left bbl with early markings. Steel bead front sight. Splinter forend with standard early forend release and 3-point checkering pattern. Frame unmarked with early non-recessed hinge pin, top tang with SN and "safe" in front of standard lined safety. Buttstock with full pistol grip to "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS COMPANY" buttplate. LOP 13-7/8". Chambers are 2-5/8". Bore diameter: .729 both bbls with left bbl choked .034 and right bbl choked .011. Weight 7 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Overall excellent. Bbls retain 85-90% orig bbl blue. Left muzzle with small dent to exterior. Small area of corrosion at breach. Bores excellent. Frame shows 80-85% blue with honest hunting wear on sharp edges and bottom of frame. Top tang and top lever retaining 85-90% blue. Trigger guard bow and tang have turned gun metal grey and brown with light freckling. Buttstock shows 85-90% hand rubbed finish, with left side stock cheek showing an old vertical scratch. Buttplate in very nice condition with minor chip at toe. Overall a very nice, useable and collectible early Model 21 just begging for birds. 49253-15 JSL1 (3,000-5,000)
