SCARCE PARKER 16 GA GRADE 0 HAMMER GUN.PARKERGR. 04636816 Ga16 Ga. 28" twist steel bbls. 2-1/2" chambers. Choked: IMP CYL/MOD. Full length twist steel rib with steel front bead marked "PARKER BROS MAKERS MERIDEN CONN TWIST". Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Pistol grip buttstock with 14-1/4" LOP over orig Parker Bros. DHBP and nickel shield behind straight top lever. Splinter forend with Deeley release. Buttstock and forend checkered in typical Grade 0 pattern. Frame marked "PARKER BROS" on lockplates and light border engraving throughout with a burst of scroll in front of trigger plate, otherwise unengraved. Receiver milled with lightning cuts on water table, making this a desirable small bore hammer gun. Weight: 7 lb 0 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. "Andy" Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 95-98% restored twist pattern turned chocolate. Receiver retains 30-40% orig case colors, mostly on lockplates, having toned on frame and on top. Buttstock and forearm retain most of a professionally restored finish. Small repaired chip on left side of trigger guard tang, but otherwise sound and checkering fully visible though slightly worn and handling marks throughout.
