STUNNING AND BEAUTIFUL HIGH ART ITHACA $2500 GRADE SBT.ITHACA$2500 GRADE40445812 GaMODERN; C&R; IVORYCal. 12 Ga. 32" bbl. 2-3/4" chamber. Choke: FULL. Full matted ventilated rib with "certifiable pre-ban ivory" mid-bead and composition front sight. Gold plated checkered single trigger, auto ejectors, no safety. Capped full pistol grip stock with 14" LOP over Ithaca Gun Co. Sunburst pad. Pistol grip cap is a honey colored resin with fine scallops throughout. Stunning full coverage scroll and game scene engraving throughout. Left side with three ducks in gold landing in marsh with highly detailed farm scene in background surrounded by beautifully and perfectly executed scroll. Bottom of frame fully scroll engraved with gold quail at front of frame. Right side of frame with three pheasants in multi-colored gold with farm scene in background. "Ithaca Gun Co. Inc" in gold on both sides of bbl in ribbon surrounded by beautifully executed scroll and "$2500 Grade" on left side of bbl. Top of frame beautifully stippled with woodcock in gold on fully engraved top lever with highly ornate detail throughout. Trigger guard fully engraved with beautiful Tom Turkey inlaid in gold with gold border on top and bottom. Gold bbl band at breech of bbl. Unengraved gold stock shield. This incredible work of art was signed by the engraver, J. Michelina, three times! Weight: 8 lb 10 oz. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Robert Burg. CONDITION: Excellent. Receiver retains about 95% of its orig case color, which is difficult to discern because of the depth of the engraving. Bbl and trigger guard retain most of their orig blue with minor handling marks. Buttstock and forend retain 90-95% orig varnish with light handling marks throughout. Mechanics are excellent. Bore near mint, showing light evidence of use.
