BEAUTIFUL ITHACA 5E KNICK SBT. ITHACA 5E SBT 405455 12 GA MODERN; C&R 12 ga. 32" bbl. 2-3/4" chamber. CHOKED: Full. Full length matted ventilated rib with synthetic ivory mid bead and florescent front bead. Checkered nickel plated trigger, automatic ejector, no safety. Capped pistol grip buttstock is beautifully figured flame grained American walnut, checkered in fleur-de-lis and point pattern with scallops near grip cap, scalloped checkered side panels and 14-1/2" LOP over Pachmayr basket weave white lined pad. Gold oval near toe. Splinter forearm checkered in 5-pt pattern with Deeley release. Receiver is loosely floral engraved with two toned gold pheasant on left, gold woodcock on right and signed by the engraver "Alpen" near pheasant on left. Bottom of frame engraved with American eagle and marked "Made in U.S.A. / Ithaca Gun Co. Ithaca N.Y.". Trigger plate engraved in loose floral pattern with geometric design. Trigger guard and top lever also engraved. Top of frame is very finely stippled. WEIGHT: 8 lbs. 11 oz. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Robert Burg. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbl retains 97-99% of an older restored finish. Receiver retains 65-70% of beautiful orig case color starting to tone on bottom of frame. Bright and shiny on sides and top. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and retain most of the professionally restored finish with a couple of light handling marks.
