GRULLA ARMS "BAER & CO" CUSTOM ROYAL 28GA WITH CASE.GRULLAROYAL CUSTOM2871828 GAMODERN28 ga. 26-3/4" bbls. 2-3/4" chambers. CHOKED: Mod/Imp.Mod. Full length game rib with synthetic ivory front bead, double triggers (front trigger is articulated), automatic ejectors, non automatic safety. Straight grip stock checkered in 2-pt pattern with tear drop behind lockplate with 14-1/4" LOP over skipped line checkered butt. Splinter forearm with Curtis push button release checkered in 3-pt pattern. Lockplates are beautifully engraved by Larry Baer with spaniel leaping for quail surrounded by scroll on left and large pointer flushing quail on right, surrounded by scroll and bead work. Bottom of frame with flying quail and scroll on trigger plate. Trigger guard and top lever are nicely scroll and floral engraved. Fences are deeply chiseled in floral pattern. WEIGHT: 5 lbs. 11 oz. PROVENANCE: Ex. Larry Baer Collection. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 97-99% blued finish. Receiver is coin finished with minute staining and a couple of handling marks. Trigger guard retains what appears to be most of its orig finish. Buttstock which is beautifully figured is straight grain Walnut and forearm retain most of their factory finish. Forearm with small chip on right side at muzzle end. Bores are very good. Mechanics are crisp. Case is very good. 49599-1 JSL279 (4,500-6,500)
