BROWNING DIANA GRADE SUPERPOSED BROADWAY TRAP ENGRAVED BY J. LEWANCZVK WITH CASE. BROWNING SUPERPOSED DIANA 6394S69 12 GA MODERN; IVORY Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 32″ Bbls marked for Imod and full, with matted, broadway, ventilated rib are marked "Browning Arms Company" on left, and with gauge, chamber, and "MADE IN BELGIUM" on right. Coin finished action is engraved in usual "Diana" fashion, with five pheasants in woodland background on left; quattro of ducks at pond on right; indeterminate gallinaceous fowl flying across bottom; and a pair of rabbits on trigger guard. Engravers signature, J. Lewanczvk, is on both side scenes. Plain European walnut short tang, square knob buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over open sided Browning white line pad, and features point pattern checkering with line borders at grip. Flared trap forend matches well. Bore diameter: top -.722, bottom -.723. Bore restrictions: top -.034 (full), bottom -.028 (Imod). Drop at heel: 1-3/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 8 lbs. 2 oz, LOP 14-1/2″. Tan vinyl Browning case is lined in faux fur. PROVENANCE: Rod Fuller Estate Collection. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain over 95% of what appears to be orig blue, with assembly marks. Action retains nearly all of its coin finish, darkened at juncture of wood of buttstock. Stocks retain nearly all of their factory finishes. Gold of trigger has some flaking and scratching. Mechanically crisp. GUN IS FITTED WITH RELEASE/ PULL TRIGGER. Case is excellent, with some scuffs. Interior is lightly stained. Mid bead is "certifiable pre-ban ivory". 49114-3 MGM166 (3,500-5,500)
