DIET WITH BOX AND DISPLAY CASE.BROWNINGSEMI-AUTO DEER437PY0059230-06MODERNCal. 30-06. 22" Round bbl marked with Browning Morgan Utah and Montreal addresses, and "MADE IN BELGIUM BY FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL" on left, and with "BAR", caliber, and "BROWNING PATENTS" on right. Coin finished action with hinged magazine and gold plated trigger has sides engraved with well cut semi-relief large open shaded scroll with finely beaded background surrounding nicely detailed game scenes of deer in their normal habitats, along with semi-relief gold inlaid portraits of subject deer; mule deer on left and white tail deer on right. "ONE OF SIX HUNDRED" is in banner on left. "592 OF 600" is on right. Both scenes are signed "J. H. Diet". Top of action is also scroll engraved and with "Mule Deer" on left and "White tail Deer" on right. Fine crotch figured claro walnut square knob pistol grip buttstock measures 13-3/4" over Browning buttplate. Closely spaced checkering with beaded borders and relief carved acanthus at bottom is at grip. Matching large forend is held by combination sling stud and screw. Weight: 7 lbs 11 oz. LOP: 13-3/4". Rifle is accompanied by its orig factory black and gold box, with correct end label, as well as factory supplied walnut display case lined in red velvet, containing key. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with only the faintest of handling marks in wood and metal finishes. Carving and checkering very slightly darkened. Gold of trigger is excellent. Box is excellent with some chipping and tape. Display case has some handling marks on exterior, interior with compressions from rifle. 49033-8 MGM151 (5,500-8,000)
