VERY FINE 20 GAUGE KRIEGHOFF "ESSENCIA" SIDELOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN WITH CASE. KRIEGHOFF ESSENCIA 1087 20 GA. MODERN Cal. 20 ga. 3" Chambers. 28" Shoe lump bbls are fitted with slightly raised, concave game rib deeply engraved "KRIEGHOFF" "Made in Germany". Bbl flats are stamped with 2009 nitro proofs. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with SN, grade, and importers name (Krieghoff International). Case hardened sidelock action features automatic safety (S gold inlaid), bushed strikers, Roman nose bbl extension, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators, gold-plated internals, and gold-plated double triggers (front articulated). Striking and bold color hardening of action is enhanced by 30% coverage sprays of well cut shaded scroll. "KRIEGHOFF" is gold inlaid on each lockplate, and "ESSENCIA" is engraved in gold on bottom of round bodied action. Double beaded, blued trigger guard has scroll on bow and SN at grip. Beautifully veined and nicely fiddle figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/4" over checkered wood butt. Borderless point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson type release. Bore diameter: left -.625, right -.625. Bore restrictions: left -.014 (mod), right -.010 (IC). Drop at heel: 2-1/8", drop at comb: 1-3/8". Weight: 6 lbs 3 oz. LOP: 14-3/4”. Makers dark leather case with stitched leather corners by Emmebi has green canvas outer cover with brown leather trim and royal purple lining. Interior of case is lined in purple cloth, and has tan leather Krieghoff label in lid. Case contains bags for action and bbls, Emmebi marked snap caps, pair of Briley snap caps with mops, cleaning oil, and a trigger lock, along with instruction booklet and warranty. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with only a few light handling marks in all of its orig finishes on both wood and metal. Mechanically crisp. Case is also new, with only a few rubs on canvas outer cover. Interior is excellent plus.
