CLASSIC IVO FABBRI SIDELOCK OVER-UNDER PIGEON GUN ENGRAVED BY ALBERTO PASOLINI WITH CASE.FABBRIOUE56412 GAMODERNCal. 12 GA 2-3/4" Chambers. Finely struck 30" demi-bloc bbls are fitted with low, broad, file cut, ventilated rib and engraved "IVO FABBRI BRESCIA ITALY" on top left, and "BOEHLER BLITZ SUPER STEEL" on right. Bbl flats are stamped with 1980 Italian nitro proofs. Importers name and address (Buckhorn Trading Post, Dallas Texas) are marked on right side of bottom bbl under forend. Finely sculpted, case hardened, low profile, OU action fitted with sidelocks, features non-functional safety, non-selective sgl trigger, vented breechfaces, and incised line tumbler end cocking indicators. Action is engraved in classically styled, well cut, rose and scroll. "IVO FABBRI BRESCIA" is on bottom of action. Engravers signature (Alberto Pasolini) is on right side of trigger plate. Top lever and trigger guard with matching scroll engraving are blued. SN is at grip. Nicely veined and lightly fiddle figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/4" over black open sided Fabbri marked pad. Matching, slim, 1-pc forend with Anson type release, is nearly fully checkered, and has flush gold inlaid pigeon on bottom rear. Bore diameter: top -.725, bottom -.726. Bore restrictions: top -.038 (full), bottom -.026 (Imod). Drop at heel: 1-1/2", drop at comb: 1-9/16". Weight: 8 lbs 0 oz. LOP: 14-3/4". Well made tan leather case with stitched leather corners is lined in scarlet velvet, and contains a key. CONDITION: Excellent, showing very limited use, near new, with only a few light handling marks, and a hint of silvering on action. Mechanically crisp. Ejectors are perfectly timed. Case is very fine, with a number of marks and scuffs. Straps and handle are fine. Interior cloth is very fine with some marks, compressions, and light soiling. Although understated, this gun is of the exceptional quality typical of Ivo Fabbri. 49181-14 MGM263 (40,000-70,000)
