PERAZZI MX8 SCO GOLD WITH SIDEPLATES GAME GUN WITH CASE.PERAZZIOU7506512 GAMODERNCal. 12 GA 2-3/4" Chambers. 29-1/2" and 31-1/2" Mono-bloc bbls, both with raised, matted, ventilated ribs, and open side ribs. Left sides are marked with Perazzi name and address and chamber information. Right sides are marked with importers name and address (Perazzi USA). Bbl flats are stamped with 1989 Italian nitro proofs, and consecutive SNs (75066 and 75067). Low profile, coin finished, OU action with Perazzi''s removable trigger group fitted with V-springs, and ornamental sideplates, features non-automatic safety and gold-plated internals. Action is engraved with near full coverage very well cut small scroll as background to floral splashes and bouquets. This fine engraving surrounds flush gold inlaid scene of trio of ducks taking wing from marsh on bottom of action. "- SCO - ORO -" is gold inlaid in forend iron mortise. Lockplates are engraved with bulino scenes of birds inlaid in flush gold in nicely detailed backgrounds. Left side portrays a covey of chukar partridge flying over open foothills with one hapless member obviously hit by shot, with feathers flying. A large flock of ducks are settling into marsh on right. This fine engraving is signed "Campana" at front portion of left hand game scene. Engraving matching that on action extends to blued top lever and trigger group housing. Dramatic dark veined and nicely stump figured European walnut extreme pistol grip buttstock with Monte Carlo comb measures 14-1/4" over open sided Perazzi pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching 1-pc forend is nearly fully checkered and has Deeley type release. 31-1/2" BBLS: Bore diameter: top -.722, bottom -.722. Bore restrictions: top -.025 (mod), bottom -.016 (lt mod). Drop at heel: 2-1/8", drop at rear of Monte Carlo: 1-5/16", drop at comb: 1-5/16". Weight: 9 lbs 0 oz. LOP: 14-1/2". 29-1/2" BBLS: Bore diameter: top -.724, bottom -.724. Red ABS Perazzi marked case with three combination locks, is lined in black cloth, with space for both sets of bbls. Case contains bbl and action bags along with information booklet. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with only a few handling marks on wood, and the slightest flaws in metal finishes, mostly from assembly. It appears unfired since proof. Mechanically crisp.
