HOLLAND & HOLLAND "SUPER TRAP" SINGLE BARREL TRAP GUN.HOLLAND & HOLLAND3721012 GA.MODERN(ca 1963) Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4" Chamber. 32" Mono-bloc bbl is fitted with broad, matted, ventilated rib, rear portion of which is engraved "Holland & Holland." "13, Bruton Street, London." in unmatted rectangle. Bbl flats are stamped with London nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chamber. Case hardened Anson Deeley type boxlock action has scalloped fence and is engraved with 60% coverage large shaded scroll with geometric borders. "Holland & Holland" is in riband on each side of action. Top lever, floorplate, and single beaded trigger guard are also scroll engraved. Nicely marbled and lightly figured European walnut horn capped pistol grip buttstock with slight Monte Carlo comb measures 14-3/4" over thick leather covered pad. Point pattern checkering with mullered borders is at grip. Matching long beavertail ejector forend has friction release with captive screw as security. Bore diameter: .729. Bore restrictions: .040 (extra full). Wall thickness: .055. Drop at heel: 2-1/16", rear of Monte Carlo: 1-11/16", drop at comb: 1-7/16". Weight: 9 lbs 0 oz. LOP: 14-3/4”. CONDITION: Excellent, near new. Bbl retains nearly all of what appears to be its orig London black with some slight silvering on sharp edges. Action retains over 90% of its orig case hardening color, lightened on bottom and silvered on sharp edges. Stocks retain nearly all of what may be their orig finish but is possibly an old glossy refinish, checkering lightly worn. Pad is new. Bore is excellent. Action is tight. Bbl is on face. Ejector is strong. The "Super Trap" was made in limited quantities starting in the 1960's. The last was produced in 1980. 49183-22 MGM22 (3,500-5,500)
