NICELY REFURBISHED WESTLEY RICHARDS BOXLOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN.WESTLEY RICHARDSBOXLOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN1471212 GA.Cal. 12 ga. 2-1/2" Chambers. 30" Dovetailed Whitworth steel bbls are so marked on concave game rib. Bbl flats are stamped with Birmingham nitro proofs for 1-1/8 oz of shot. Bottoms of bbls have Whitworth sheaf of wheat trademarks. Anson Deeley boxlock (patent use no. 10556) action features automatic safety (SAFE gold inlaid), Westley Richards patent third fastener with dolls head extension, and double triggers. Action is engraved with 70% coverage nicely cut small scroll. "WESTLEY RICHARDS" is in ribands on each side. Top lever, floorplate, and trigger guard are blued, and also scroll engraved. Trigger guard has hunting dog on bow, and SN at grip. Very finely made new stocks, possibly by Westley Richards as style and quality is of that caliber, consist of nicely marbled and figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 15" over Silver type pad. Side panels are checkered and drop points are classic Westley type. Point pattern checkering is very well executed and borderless. Matching splinter forend with inset horn tip, fitted with Deeley ejector, has Deeley release. Bore diameter: left -.731, right -.734. Bore restrictions: left -.040 (extra full), right -.017 (mod). Wall thickness: left -.031, right -.027. Drop at heel: 2-1/4", drop at comb: 1-3/8". Weight: 6 lbs 12 oz. LOP: 15”. CONDITION: Very fine, as refurbished. Newer bbls are nicely struck and retain nearly all of what appears to be a fine satin re-black. Action is coin finished, engraving still clear. Top lever and floorplate are re-blued, and retain over 90% of that blue, engraving slightly washed. New trigger guard is silvered at grip. Newly made stocks retain nearly all of their fine hand rubbed oil finish, with numerous light marks and scratches. Checkering still light in color, and lightly worn. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Bbls are slightly off face. Ejectors are strong and in time. Bottom portion of third bite on rib extension is broken off. 49183-21 MGM24 (3,000-5,000)
