TINY GALESI POCKET PISTOL THAT BELONGED TO NOTORIOUS AND INFAMOUS KILLER OF LEE HARVEY OSWALD, JACK RUBY.ARMI GALESI W/ NECKTIE, MEZZUZZAH, BANK BAG, PROV9161372.25 ACPMODERNCal. .25 ACP. Blue finish with 2-1/2" bbl. fixed sights and black composition grips with company trademark at the top. Magazine is European release. Accompanied by a narrow black silk necktie and a small round gold religious pendant (a Mezuzah) that has fine decorative symbols on the outside including the 6 pointed Jewish star and an inscription in Hebrew. Additionally accompanying is a small pale green canvas bag 11-/4" x 7" with eyelets a the top for a string closure. One side is marked "EMPIRE STATE BANK / DALLAS, TEXAS" over the logo of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Also accompanied by a notarized declarative statement over the signature of Frederick S. Ruby wherein he states the necktie and gold religious icon are part a lot of items that belonged to Jack Ruby and came directly from Eva Grant to him. He further states that Eva Grant was Jack Ruby''s sister and his aunt. He continues that Jack Ruby was his uncle, his father''s brother, and since "Aunt Eva" gave these items to him they have remained in his possession in his home. Also accompanied by another notarized declarative statement over the signature of Stanton Magid who states that this pistol, identified by SN, was owned by Jack Ruby and that it was given to his grandmother, Eva Grant, when Jack Ruby was arrested and incarcerated. He states that Mr. Ruby was Mrs. Grants brother and Mr. Magid''s great uncle. He continues that Mrs. Grant gave this pistol to his father, Ronald Magid, who in turn gave it to him and that Ronald is Mrs. Grants son. He continues that it has remained in his possession since that time. He states that "This gun was commonly carried in Uncle Jack''s boot as a hidden backup firearm." Mr. Magid further states that the bank deposit bag also came from his grandmother, Eva Grant, to his father who passed it on to him. He states that "This bag was used daily by my Uncle Jack to make cash deposits from the proceeds of his two nightclubs in Dallas, Texas." Also accompanied in this lot is a hand written letter to "Dear Uncle Jack" and signed "Ronnie" (Ronald Magid). The letter is on military type stationary and is simply personal news to Jack about Mr. Magid''s time in basic training. Also accompanying is a copy of a color photo of Jack Ruby. Although this pistol was in no way involved in Lee Harvey Oswald''s shooting, it almost certainly was something that belonged to a notorious and infamous person involved in a momentous event that reshaped some of the thinking in this country. Additionally accompanied by a full box of (50) Remington 25 automatic ammunition that Mr. Magid states was given to him by his father. CONDITION: Pistol is fine, overall retains 75-80% blue with freckles of rust. Grips are fine. Mechanics are crisp. Strong sharp bore, dark in the grooves. Tie is fine.
