This Indian Wars Model 1873 US Springfield rifle is in its untouched condition with all metal parts a dark brown and the stock has its original surface and the cartouche (inspector's mark) is legible with a date of 1883. Overall, this rifle is in good, used, "as found" condition, accompanied by an appropriate "period" bayonet.
