UNUSUAL LATE PARKER 16 GAUGE G GRADE NON-EJECTOR.PARKERSXS GH23696916 GaMODERNCal. 16 ga. 2-5/8" Chambers. 1 Frame. 28" Bbls have concave, matted rib marked with Parker's Meriden CT address and "PARKER SPEC. STEEL". Bbl flats are stamped with steel type, Parker proofs, and weight. Left side of lump is stamped with SN. Typical Parker action has all correct numbers and marks on water table. Action features automatic safety and dbl triggers. Action is engraved in typical "G" style with sprays of scroll engraving within geometric borders, surrounding simple vignettes of game birds; A pair of grouse on left, and flying fowl on right side. "PARKER" is on bottom of action. A pair of quail are in circular vignette on trigger plate. Trigger guard bow is scroll engraved. SN is at grip. Strikingly stump fiddle figured American walnut Parker capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14" over Parker dogs head buttplate without spur. Stock has point pattern checkering with mullered borders at grip. Vacant silver shield is on toe line. Matching splinter forend has flat steel tip, and typical Parker release. Bore diameter: left -.667, right -.665. Bore restrictions: left -.024 (Imod), right -.012 (mod). Wall thickness: left -.024, right -.024. Drop at heel: 2-1/2", drop at comb: 1-11/16". Weight: 6 lbs 9 oz. LOP: 14". This gun is listed in the PARKER GUN IDENTIFICATION AND SERIALIZATION LEDGER and all specifications match except it is listed as having ejectors. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 90 - 95% orig blue with light marks, spots of silvering, slightly thinned. Damascening marks are strong on breech ends. Action retains 60 - 70% orig case hardening color, silvered on bottom, beads, and fences from normal hand wear. Trigger guard retains most of it orig blue, silvering at grip, with most loss on bow due to flaking. Stocks retain over 90% of what appears to be their orig finish, areas worn through, with some extra oil rubbed in, checkering lightly worn. Bores are excellent. Action is tight.
