FINE HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION .410 PARKER VH. PARKER SXS VH 223314 410 MODERN Cal. .410 ga. 2-1/2" Chambers. 000 Frame. 26" Bbls have slightly raised, concave, matted rib marked with Parker''s Meriden CT address and "VULCAN STEEL". Bbl flats are stamped with steel type, Parker proofs, and weight. Left side of lump is stamped with SN. Typical Parker action has all correct numbers and marks on water table. Action features automatic safety and dbl triggers. Action is engraved in typical "V" style with wiggle borders. "Parker Bros" is on each side. Trigger guard bow has wiggle borders. SN is at grip. Relatively plain American walnut ball grip buttstock measures 14-1/4" over Parker dogs head buttplate. Stock has point pattern checkering with mullered borders at grip. Vacant silver shield is on toe line. Matching splinter forend has steel tip and typical Parker release. Bore diameter at muzzles: left -.395, right -.397. Wall thickness: left -.035, right -.035. Drop at heel: 2-7/8", drop at comb: 1-5/8". Weight: 5 lbs 10 oz. LOP: 14-1/4". All specifications match those in PARKER GUN IDENTIFICATION AND SERIALIZATION LEDGER. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain over 95% orig blue with some high edge wear and a few marks. Action retains approx 90% orig case hardening color, silvered and flaked a bit on bottom from normal hand wear, and some areas of flaking on sides. Trigger guard retains almost all of a re-blue. Stocks retain 95% orig finish, thinning on high edges, with a number of light scratches and nicks, most notably an area of fairly deep denting at rear portion of forend. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. A scarce little gun, especially in this condition, with only 463 26" bbl 410 V grade guns estimated in THE PARKER STORY. 49498-3 MGM322 (22,000-30,000)
