UNENGRAVED PARKER REPRODUCTION A-1 SPECIAL THREE BARREL SMALL GAUGE SET AND CASE.PARKERSXS REPRO A-1 SPL28-05928 GA, 28 GA, .410 GAMODERNCal. 28 ga/ 28 ga/ .410. Consignors notes state "28 ga. 28", M & F 26" Q1 & Q 2, and 28" .410 3" M & F. It is believed that only 14 of these three barrel sets were made, and I was told that this set is the only one that left the factory 'in the white' for custom engraving." All sets of bbls with matted game ribs have Parker Reproduction By Winchester information, and "Made in Japan" marked on ribs. Calibers and chambers are marked on left sides. SNs and Parker reproduction proofs are on bbls flats. Loops are stamped "1", "2", and "3". Two forends are furnished, one for both 28 ga. sets, and another for .410. .410 rear lumps are stamped for frame size "0000". 28 ga. Bbls are both stamped for frame size "00". Action is filed with three beads behind fences, and is fitted with automatic safety and gold-plated Parker sgl selective trigger with finger blade checkered. Finely marbled and nicely flame figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/4" over skeleton steel buttplate with checkering with fleur-di-lis intrusion. Stock is carved and checkered in "A-1" Special style with raised fleur-di-lis in sunken side panels, as drop points, and theme carries into very fancy checkering pattern. Matching splinter ejector forends have nicely filed steel tips, and typical Parker releases. BBL set "1" 28" 28 ga.: Bore diameter: left -.555, right -.555. Bore restrictions: left -.040 (full), right -.020 (mod). Drop at heel: 2", drop at comb: 1-1/4". Weight: 5 lbs 12 oz. LOP: 14-1/4". Bbl set "2" 28 ga. 26": Bore diameter: left -.556, right -.555. Bore restrictions: left -.012 (Lt mod), right -.011 (IC). BBL set "3" .410: Bore diameter at muzzles: left -.390, right -.401. Gun and all three sets of bbls are housed in nice quality oak and leather case with brass corners and tan canvas outer cover, with tan leather trim. Case is lined in green felt, and has Parker Reproduction Winchester black leather label in lid. Case contains pair of Parker marked snap caps and oil bottle, with a pair of unmarked .410 snap caps, and some associated paperwork and keys. PROVENANCE: Larry Baer Estate Collection. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, appears unfired, with only a few of the lightest of handling marks on wood and metal. Case is excellent.
