20 GAUGE REMINGTON MODEL 11-F SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN THREE BARREL SET AND CASE. REMINGTON SEMI AUTO 11-F M40258 20GA MODERN Cal. 20 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers. Three barrel sets, one without rib 28" choked mod. One 26" with solid rib marked "Skeet", and the third 25" ventilated rib with Cutt's compensator also marked "Skeet". Blued action is engraved with near full coverage large, open, shaded scroll surrounding vignettes of dogs and game; pair of pointers pointing woodcock and pheasant on left side of action, and a pair of setters pointing quail, and with grouse, on right. Bottom of action is engraved "Grade F" "20 Gauge" and with SN. Bolt is marked "THE SPORTSMAN". Nicely crotch figured American walnut Remington capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/8" over ribbed Remington composition buttplate. Fancy pattern checkering is at grip. A large vacant gold oval is on toe line. Matching forend is of semi-beavertail type. With solid rib skeet bbl: Drop at heel: 2-9/16", drop at comb: 1-9/16". Weight: 7 lbs 11 oz. LOP: 14-1/8". Fine quality oak and light tan leather case with brass corners is lined in dark green cloth, and has space for gun and all three sets of bbls. Remington label is in lid. Case contains a square oil bottle. CONDITION: Excellent, as partially refinished. Bbls retain over 95% of what appears to be their orig blue, silvered on sharp edges. Action retains nearly all of a re-blue, engraving remains sharp. Stocks retain nearly all of a varnish finish, with numerous marks and scratches, and some crawling, and roughness from contact with cloth. Checkering re-cut. Bores are excellent.
