NICELY APPOINTED 20 GAUGE CSMC FOX FE.CSMC FOXSXS FEF20601420 GAMODERNCal. 20 ga. 32" Bbls with narrow, matted game rib, are engraved "KRUPP - FLUID - STEEL" and "MADE TO ORDER - A. H. FOX". There are 2-1/2" triangles of large, open, shaded scroll at breech ends, bisected by gold inlaid vine and foliage. Bbl flats are stamped with SN, chamber and gauge, grade, and Fox proof. Makers name and address are on loop. Case hardened, small sized, double ogee backed Fox action features non-automatic safety and gold-plated double triggers. Action is engraved with near full coverage varying sized open shaded scroll with strap work highlights, within gold inlaid dot and dash borders. Action has other gold highlights, including floral and vine decoration on top, and floral highlights on ends of hinge pin. Scroll surrounds vignettes of game birds with a pair of snipe on left side, and a flushing grouse on right. Bottom of action depicts a flying pheasant with cabin in background under "FOX" inlaid in gold. Scroll engraved trigger guard has gold inlaid foliage on bow and SN at grip. Very fine burl figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14" over checkered wood butt with fleur-di-lis intrusion. Side panels are checkered in like style, as is checkering at grip, which is also divided into segments by uncheckered ribbons. Matching beavertail ejector forend has Deeley release. Iron is engraved with patent information and gold inlaid with SN and grade. Bore diameter: left -.614, right -.614. Bore restrictions: left -.014 (mod), right -.005 (IC). Drop at heel: 2-1/4", drop at comb: 1-3/8". Weight: 5 lbs 14 oz. LOP: 14".
