SEMI-RELIEF GOLD INLAID 12 GAUGE WINCHESTER MODEL 21 "GRAND AMERICAN" STYLE TWO BARREL SET WITH CASE.WINCHESTERSXS 213254512 GAMODERNCal. 12 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers for both. Set "1" has 30" bbls marked full and full, and set "2" has 28" bbls marked mod and full. Both bbl sets are fitted with raised, matted, ventilated ribs. There are 3" triangles of varying sized scroll at breech ends. Engine turned bbl flats are stamped with matching numbers. Each set has its own forend, and bbls are stamped "1" and "2" on loops and front portions of forend irons. Blued flat side action features automatic safety and gold-plated sgl selective trigger. Action is engraved in typical "21-6" style with semi-relief gold inlays, typical of "Grand American" guns. Fences are carved with oak leaves and acorns. Remainder of action has 80% coverage of scroll within geometric borders, surrounding vignettes of gold inlaid dogs and birds; a setter on left side, and a pointing pointer on right. Bottom of action depicts a pair of gold inlaid pheasant. Trigger guard bow has a gold portrait of a dog. Fine, feather crotch figured American walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/4" over checkered wood butt. Stock and both matching beavertail forends are carved in "21-B" style. BBL set "1": Bore diameter: left -.729, right -.729. Bore restrictions: left -.037 (full), right -.038 (full). Drop at heel: 2-7/16", drop at comb: 1-1/2". Weight: 7 lbs 8 oz. LOP: 14-3/4". BBL set "2": Bore diameter: left -.732, right -.732. Bore restrictions: left -.029 (Imod), right -.014 (mod). Drop at heel: 2-1/2", drop at comb: 1-9/16". Weight: 7 lbs 4 oz. LOP: 14-3/4". Brown leather VC case with stitched leather corners is lined in burgundy cloth, with Winchester gold embossed label in lid, and has space for gun and both sets of bbls. Case contains 2 pc rosewood and brass cleaning rod with mop, jag, and brush in black leather case, pair of Winchester marked snap caps, square oil bottle, and a key. CONDITION: Excellent, near new, as completely refurbished, with only a few handling marks on wood and metal, most notably some light scratches on left rear of butt. Bores are excellent. Mechanically crisp. Case leather has numerous scratches and light rubs, and a few dents. Straps and handle are fine. Interior cloth is very fine with some compressions and soiling.
