CUSTOM REMINGTON MODEL 721 BOLT ACTION RIFLE WITH SCOPE.REMINGTONBOLT 721 CUSTOM112889300 WBYMODERNCal. .300 Weatherby. 26" Tapered round bbl has typical Remington markings on upper left side, along with "300 H&H Mag". New caliber marking is at left rear. Bbl is fitted with sleeved on Redfield streamlined ramp with knurled sight protector. Typical action has engine turned bolt, body, and two checkered panels on pear-shaped knob. A Leupold Pioneer 4X scope with fine crosshair and dot reticle is in early Leupold one piece base. Bottom metal has been nicely shaped and is engraved with large open scroll, with bead shaded background. Custom made stock of nicely fiddle figured dense European walnut measures 13-1/2" over Winchester type steel buttplate, with scroll engraving and gold inlaid initials "JUM" within gold inlaid oval. Right hand cheekpiece has interesting transition to comb and point pattern checkering is at grip and forend. Stock also features large ebony forend tip, and sling eyes. Weight with scope: 9 lbs. 5 oz. LOP: 13-1/2". CONDITION: Excellent, as custom finished. All metal parts retain essentially all of their blued finish, engraving and markings somewhat washed. There is considerable flecking on top of bbl. Stock retains nearly all of its hand rubbed oil finish with some light marks. Bore is excellent. Action is smooth.
