DIMINUTIVE, SUPERB QUALITY, CUSTOM YOUTH RIFLE BY JOHN BOLLIGER (MOUNTAIN RIFLERY).JOHN BOLLIGERBOLT ACTION1111222 REMMODERNCal. .222 Remington. This lovely little rifle, based on a miniature Mauser action, has 20-1/2" medium weight bbl marked with caliber on left, and engraved "John Bolliger Riflemaker" on right. Action has been beautifully filed and smoothed, and double square type scope bases fitted,with provision for Talley rings. Rear portion of bolt has been customized to accept typical Model 98 FN bolt shroud. Bottom metal has hinged floorplate secured by transverse bolt through front portion of trigger guard bow. Very fine, well marbled, and nicely figured European walnut steel capped pistol grip stock measures 11-7/8" over black leather covered pad, and features some of John Bolliger's classic styling including his swept shadow line right hand cheekpiece, stepped transition to bolt stop, and schnabeled tip. Exceptional borderless checkering is of fancy pattern, with whorls at ends, fleur-di-lis intrusions, as well as uncheckered ribbons through pattern. Sling eyes are set in oval bases fore and aft. Weight: 5 lbs 8 oz. LOP: 11-7/8". CONDITION: Excellent, retaining essentially all of its fine custom finishes on wood and metal, with only a few light handling marks. Bore is excellent.
