RARE RELICS RECOVERED FROM THE SITE OF THE HINDENBURG DISASTER MAY 6, 1937.5 tablespoons, 1 table fork and 1 demitasse spoon all maker marked "BRUCKMANN 100" with the Hindenburg logo of dirigible over a globe with the initials "DZR" (Deutsche Zeppelin Reedere). Consignor purchased these from a gentleman who as a child picked these up at the site of the Hindenburg disaster on May 8, 1937 in Lakehurst, NJ two days after the event. SIZE: CONDITION: Very good to fine with staining and mottling typical of other examples known picked up as souvenirs. These are uncleaned still showing the affects of the fire. 49198-4 JS (2,000-4,000)
