THEODORE VICTOR CARL VALENKAMPH (Swedish/American, 1868-1924) TWO SHIPS IN OPEN SEASOil on canvas depicting two ice encrusted sailing ships crossing paths. A three masted clipper ship sails perilously close to the bow of a schooner as it struggles against white capped swells. The evening sky is dominated by pink hued clouds set against blue skies with a gray horizon. Signed and dated lower right "T.V.C. Valenkamph-1905." SIZE: 24" x 36".
