FINE CARVED EAGLE WALL PLAQUE.Circa 1900 John Haley Bellamy, Kittery Point, Maine. Flattened half-round relief carved eagle from a single plank of typical form. Remnants of original paint, with thin varnished overcoat. The eagle depicted clutching a serpentine arrow. Ref: Pg 130, Fig 3 [i]Folk Art in America[/i] Jack T. Ericson. SIZE: 9-1/4" h x 23" l.
