FABULOUS STERLING SILVER AND GLASS INKSTAND BY TIFFANY & COMPANY. The round sterling stand marked "Tiffany & Co. Makers Sterling". Having a round base with repousse Roman and Greek figures, with a central scene of two nude Greek men seated under a grape arbor, titled "MENALCAS MOPSVE". In the center of the plate is a raised ring with decorative arms; this holds a removable clear glass squashed melon formed inkwell, which is unmarked. The arms act as pen stands.
