This large example with canvass exterior opening to an interior once fitted with drawers and trays and lined with a double striped linen fabric, the center of the lid interior with large Louis Vuitton Label which reads as follows "AND AT 289 OXFORD STREET/REGENT CIRCUS LONDON/Louis Vuitton/EMBALLAUR BREVETE S.G.D.G./FOURNISSEUR BREVETE DE S.M. LE ROI D'ESPAGNE/1. Rue Scribe. 1./FABRIQUE D'ATRICLES/DE VOYAGE/USIME A ASNIERES. (Seine.)". Serial number 23750. The trunk with the name W.T. Barber stenciled on the ends with various shipping labels on exterior. All hardwar eis marked "depose LV." SIZE: 27-1/2" h. x 43" l. x 24" d. CONDITION: Trunk remains structurally sound, with original hardware, canvass cover with considerable abrasions, the base and lid with multiple shrinkage cracks, interior lining with soiling.
