TWO PIPE BOWLS & STEMS.1) Second half of the 19th century. Small flared Plains pipe bowl, showing good use. Chip decoration around edge of bowl. 2) Late 19th century inlaid Northern Plains pipe pole. Stetite inlaid with pewter and catlinite. 3) Stem is finely quill wrapped, showing very good patina with red, white and blue bands in hour-glass shapes. 4) Stem is wood quill wrapped with sinew wrapped trade cloth. Quill work is yellow, brown, white and red with a diamond design. SIZE: 1) 2-1/2" l x 1-3/4" h. 2) 6-1/2" l x 3-1/2" h. 3) 1-1/4" l x 1-1/4" h. 4) 21" l x 1-1/2" h. PROVENANCE: Rod Fuller Estate Collection. CONDITION: 1) Good. 2) Shows good in-use wear. 3) On one side quill has two 1/2 rows missing toward the middle. End has good in-use wear. 4) Scattered quill loss. 49430-10 WAG (1,000-2,000)
