EXCEPTIONAL SIOUX BLANKET STRIP IN AMERICAN FLAG DESIGN.This strip in exceptional condition, measures 57" x 4" with four 6" round central medallions each with 13 stars surrounding a larger central star. Sinew sewn beads with thread sewn and calico cloth backing. Each medallion has a leather tassel with two large sky blue beads. American flag motif in American Indian bead work is quite scarce and desirable, especially in early reservation era. SIZE: PROVENANCE: From the personal estate collection of John W.
