Of tapering cylindrical form, the planters exterior painted with magpie birds flying over blooming peony flowers, all over purple glaze ground, three character "Da Ya Zhai" and four character seal mark on the side, the lipped rim with alternating bat and Shou pattern, and the bottom unglazed. SIZE: 13-1/4" h x 14-1/4" d. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection from a renowned Taiwanese Diplomatic Family - Cai Wanjun (? - 2011), Xu Shaochang (1913–1999), and Ye Gongchao (1904 – 1981).
