RARE AND LARGE TIBETAN CAST SILVER AND GILT MANDALA.19th/20th Century, Tibet. Of round form, the mandala was masterfully worked in silver and gilt silver to depict a central deity Cakrasamvara Tantra, surrounded by three layers of four gates, in between the gates include four guardians, animals, and animal carriages, all against a ground of silver filigree scroll-work; the copper base sealed to the reverse. SIZE: 66-3/8" d. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection from a renowned Taiwanese Diplomatic Family - Cai Wanjun (? - 2011), Xu Shaochang (1913–1999), and Ye Gongchao (1904 – 1981).
