FULL BODIED SPREAD WING EAGLE WEATHERVANE.American, circa 1900. A bold example constructed of repousse sheet copper with a very weathered gilt and verdigris surface. Mounted on a weathered red painted barn wood table mount. SIZE: 30-1/2" t x 3' wingspan. PROVENANCE: From the private estate collection of John W. Armiger Jr. CONDITION: Repairs to back between wings, age cracks and separations to talons. Mounting tube replaced, with re-soldering on underside between talons.
