RARE AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN SEATED ON COTTON BALE DOORSTOP.Unknown American foundry, circa 1920. Comprised of cast iron and white metal depicting a man in top hat, red scarf at throat seated upon a cotton bale. Two piece hollow full bodied castings. Reference: The Doorstop Book, Smith, page 218. SIZE: 8-3/4" h x 6-1/2" l. CONDITION: Excellent, near mint, untouched original condition with minor paint abrasions. 49974-2 HMG (2,000-4,000)
