RARE GREEN JUNYAO CANTEEN.The compressed water bottle with domed top and an upright spout flanked by strap handles below a wide, everted rim. The rounded, conical lower body tapers to a flat, unglazed ring foot. Covered with even grayish-green glaze. SIZE: 2-1/4" h x 7" dia. PROVENANCE: From a Northern California Family through descent from Dr. B. Engstrom of Stockholm, Sweden (bears label on bottom). CONDITION: Crazing in the glaze. 49935-17 HL (6,000-8,000)
