WINCHESTER THIRD MODEL 1873 ROUND BARREL FULL MAGAZINE WITH FULL CRESCENT BUTT.WINCHESTER73579182 B32WCFMODERN; C&RCal. 32 WCF. 24" rnd bbl, full mag, blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with crescent butt and steel forend cap. Bbl has standard 2-line Winchester address in front of rear sight and cal marking behind sight with "WP" proof in oval. Front sight is a Beach's combination with a broken ring. Rear sight is buckhorn type. Receiver is of the stepped variety. Upper tang is marked "Model 1873" over "Winchester" over "Trademark". Lower tang has SN stamped behind lever. Elevator is marked "32 Cal". Stock is varnished and has initials "F.L." over "W.B." CONDITION: Very good. Bbl is a plum/brown patina with some blue remaining in protected areas near sights. Mag tube retains 50%+ blue finish. Sights are good. Front sight is broken, as noted. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Receiver has 20% bright blue remaining with the balance drifting to a pleasing plum/brown patina. Right sideplate has some staining. Tang marks are sharp. Elevator is a mustard patina with sharp mark. Sideplate screw is somewhat marred. Tang sight screws have been replaced and there is a shadow indicating that there was once a tang sight mounted. Hammer retains generous traces of case color. Lever is a plum/brown patina. Stocks are very good, full size, and show numerous scratches and dents overall. Stock is stained dark at wrist. Forend also has numerous scratches and dents, some dark staining towards the receiver at carry point. Forend cap is a plum/brown patina. A good honest Winchester '73 rifle. 49971-9 TEP (2,000-3,000)
