WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 ROUND BARREL FULL MAGAZINE SPORTING RIFLE WITH GLOBE FRONT SIGHT, LADDER REAR SIGHT AND VERNIER TANG SIGHT.WINCHESTER761333645-75Cal. 45-75. 27 3/4" bbl. Blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. Globe front sight with insert. Ladder type rear sight. Vernier type tang sight with aperture disc. CONDITION: Good. Bbl and magazine tube have been shortened and bbl has been lightly draw filed which obliterated the cal. mark. Bbl address remains clear. Bbl and magazine tube show a gray-brown patina overall. Sights are good. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Receiver has a plum-brown patina overall with some cleaning on left side plate. Dust cover has been replaced. Hammer and lever are gray-brown patina overall. Tang sight is very good. Stocks are good and are slightly undersized with an old varnish re-finish over numerous mars and scratches. Buttplate is gray-brown patina with erosion on heel and toe. Forend cap is gray-brown patina. A honest 76 rifle with special sights that has seen many years of use. 49971-20 TEP (2,000-3,000)
