WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 ROUND BARREL 1/2 MAGAZINE SEMI DELUXE TAKEDOWN SPORTING RIFLE.WINCHESTER1886 TD SEMI DLX132306.33 WCFMODERN; C&RCal. 33 WCF. 24" bbl. 1/2 magazine. Takedown. Blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with checkered pistol grip and forend. Winchester hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Lyman front sight. This rifle is accompanied by a Cody Firearm Records Office letter confirming all of the features on this rifle and showing shipment on October 14, 1904. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 70-80% thinning blue with some stains on left side and near muzzle. Sights are very good. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 30-40% blue with some staining on left side and carry wear. Lever and hammer show traces of case color in protected areas. Bolt retains 90% blue finish. Tang screw is a replacement. Tang sight hole is unfilled. Stocks are good and have been lightly cleaned. Checkering is worn smooth but still very visible. Stocks have numerous scratches and dents especially on bottom of buttstock. Pistol grip cap is very good. Hard rubber buttplate is very good with clear logo and sharp checkering.
