WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE SPORTING RIFLE WITH CRESCENT BUTT AND TANG SIGHT.WINCHESTER189260056844 WCFMODERN; C&RCal. 44 WCF. 24" bbl. Blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. Sheard Rocky Mountain blade front sight with Marble mark. Sight mortise on bbl has been filled. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl shows gray-brown patina overall with high point and muzzle wear and carry wear at breech end. Markings are clear and sharp with an extra circle P proof at breech end of bbl. Magazine tube retains 80% dull blue finish. Front sight is very good. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver is a silver-gray finish overall with some blue in protected areas. Hammer and lever are a silver-gray patina overall. Rear sight is very good. Stocks are very good and full-sized. Stocks show minimal dents and scratches overall. Buttplate is silver-gray patina as is the forend cap. A very nice 92 rifle with special sights that was obviously a priced possession of an old time shooter. 50111-8 TEP (750-1,250)
