SCARCE COLT 1ST MODEL DRAGOON REVOLVER. COLT 1ST MDL DRAGOON 4457 44 CAL Cal. 44. 7-1/2" bbl, remnants of blade front sight remain, "New York City" address on top of bbl. Six shot rnd cyl stamped SN 4457. Brass square back trigger guard and backstrap, 1-pc walnut grips, matching SN wedge. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. "Bill" Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Good, all metal surfaces with scattered minor staining and pin prick corrosion, light rub marks on top of bbl, cyl is dark with slightly lighter area around SN stamp. Grips are good with battering marks at toe, minor losses and repair. Mechanics are good. Bore is dark with scattered pitting. 49973-98 JSL123 (4,500-7,500)
