FINE AND RARE MARTIAL COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH HOLSTER.COLTSAA6147545 LCCal. 45. This appears as a fine "as found" revolver retaining original finish, crisp markings and accompanying fine Indian War military flap holster. This particular gun is dated "1880" and inspected by "CCM" (Lt. Charles C. Morrison). Sub-inspector marks "DFC" (David F. Clark) appear on right stock, bbl frame and cylinder. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. "Bill" Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Very good overall. Strong traces of finish, especially in protected areas of bbl, ejector housing and backstrap. Matching SNs are found throughout with exception of cylinder which has last 4 numbers "1297" but with same sub-inspector "DFC" and "P" which are also found on bbl. Overall color of gun is a matching gray/plum. Stocks are sound, solid and well-fit. Cartouches are both discernible though "CCM" has a large chip. Light tacking marks. Mechanically gun is sound with crisp, well defined bore. 49973-91 JS (4,000-6,000)
