COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH CHECKERED HARD RUBBER GRIPS WITH COLT MEDALLIONS.COLTSAA34969432 WCFMODERN; C&RCal .32 WCF, 4-3/4" bbl, blue and case colored finish, checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Bbl has standard 2-line address with cal mark on left side. Front sight is fat with low profile. Frame has 2-line patent mark on left front of frame with rampant Colt without a circle on the right side. SN on frame, backstrap and trigger guard match. Last two digits on SN are on rear face of cyl. SN is also scratched on inside of grips. SN on trigger guard and backstrap are on the right side under the grip. Hammer has case color finish, trigger is blue. Trigger guard has "VP" proof mark on forward left bow with assembler number 3. Revolver is accompanied by a Colt factory letter confirming all features and showing shipment to Shapleigh Hardware Company, St. Louis, Missouri on August 15, 1927 in a 1 gun shipment. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 98% orig blue finish with slight muzzle wear on left side and a couple of miniscule scratches. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Ejector rod housing retains 98% orig blue with slight wear at the muzzle end. Frame retains 80% case color with most of the wear on left re-coil shield and loading gate. Color is vibrant in the gullets in front of the cylinder. Trigger guard retains 80% bright blue blending to a plumb brown patina on the forestrap. Backstrap retains 80% bright blue with wear down the bottom of the strap. A few minor dents on the butt. SN''s are sharp. Hammer retains 80% dull case color. Top of hammer is a silver gray patina. Screws retain nearly all of their blue finish. Butt screw is slightly marred. Trigger retains 50% blue finish on the sides. Cylinder retains 90% blue finish with a slight drag mark and some high-point wear. Markings are sharp. Grips are very good. Left grip has some mars and scratches on the left side. Right grip is cracked around the screw escutcheon on the inside due to over-tightening.
