COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH CHECKERED HARD RUBBER GRIPS.COLTSAA33811945 L COLTMODERN; C&RCal. 45 Colt 4-3/4" bbl., blue cased colored finish, checkered hard rubber grips. Two line Colt address on top of the bbl, all other markings standard for this model. SNs match on frame, trigger guard backstrap and right grip, left grip is a replacement. The last two digits of the SN are stamped on the rear face of cylinder. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 70% of the bright blue finish with most of the wear on the left side toward the muzzle. Ejector rod housing retains 90% bright blue with wear mostly at the front edge. Frame retains 50% case colors with vivid color in the gullet in front of the cylinder and under the loading gate. Screws retain most of their orig blue. Hammer is polished bright on the side with case color still present on back side. Trigger shows 50% dull blue. Backstrap and trigger guard are a pleasing plum patina with bright blue behind the hammer and in front of the trigger guard. Cylinder retains 50% blue with bright blue in the flutes. Grips are very good with some slight handling marks. Action functions well. A nice Single Action Army Revolver in a popular bbl length and cal. Made in 1920. 50019-209 TEP (2,000-3,000)
